What services do I have included on the day of arrival and on the day of departure?

The package starts with lunch on the day of arrival and ends with breakfast on the day of departure. The rooms are ready for occupancy by 3:00 p.m. at the latest, on the day of departure we ask you to vacate the room by 10am.

Where and when do meals take place?

Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10am in the hotel restaurant, lunch and afternoon snack take place together from 12pm to 4pm in our Seealm and dinner from 6pm to 8:30pm in the hotel restaurant. Afterwards you can relax at the end of the day in our Seealm Bar.

What food is available for babies?

As a premium classified children’s hotel, we offer your little ones a uniform selection of Hipp products free of charge as part of our arrangement. Here you can view the current Hipp Baby menu.

What drinks are included?

With our all-inclusive board, drinks from the beverage fountain (cola, Fanta, Sprite, apple juice, iced tea, soda water and spring water) are available to you free of charge all day long. In addition, hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) are included for breakfast and afternoon snacks. Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package.

Are beer and wine included in the all-inclusive board?

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package.

Is it possible to eat at the Seealm in the evening?

Our Seealm team will be happy to welcome you daily from 9am to 11pm and spoil you with our delicious à la carte dishes from 11am to 9pm. Outside of these hours, you can make yourself comfortable with refreshing drinks, delicious cocktails and strong coffee.

Is it possible to reserve a table at the Seealm?

Of course, you can reserve a table at the Seealm. Our Seealm team will be happy to welcome you daily from 9am to 11pm and spoil you with our delicious dishes from 11am to 9pm. Outside of these hours, you can make yourself comfortable with refreshing drinks, delicious cocktails and strong coffee.

Are à la carte orders at the Seealm included in the all-inclusive board?

Orders from the menu in the Seealm are not included in the arrangement.

Are there vegan dishes to choose from?

Vegan menus are available on request and with prior notice. Please let us know when you make your reservation.

Are gluten-free or lactose-free foods also available?

Gluten-free and lactose-free foods are available on request and with prior notice. Please inform us of any incompatibilities at the time of your reservation.

Are there alternatives for allergy sufferers?

We kindly ask you to inform us of any allergies and intolerances when making your reservation. Of course, these will be taken into account as far as we can. Please note that we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation.

Are guests from out of town allowed to come to eat?

Are towels and bathrobes in the room?

Bathrobes for adults and towels are in the room. If you also need bathrobes for your children, you are welcome to contact the reception.

Do you also have children’s bathrobes?

Yes, you are welcome to receive children’s bathrobes from us at the reception.

Do you offer laundry facilities?

Yes, we do have a washing machine and a dryer available for our guests. One unit costs Euro 7.- each. You can obtain the necessary tokens at the reception.

Is there an iron for hotel guests?

We are happy to provide you with an ironing service for a fee. To do so, please contact the reception.

Do you have a petting zoo?

We don’t have a petting zoo in the literal sense. We have 11 horses, and 2 cats, which can be visited at any time and, if possible, petted. Please note that the rabbits may only be petted when accompanied by a member of staff.

What are the opening times of the swimming pool and wellness area?

Our swimming pool is open daily from 8am to 9pm, the sauna area from 3pm to 10pm. Please tell us if you want to use the sauna area earlier, on request we are happy to heat it up before then.

How long and how deep ist the swimming pool?

We have two pools, one with 10m x 6m for adults and swimmers which is 1,50 m deep and a children’s pool (70cm deep) with a separated baby area (30cm deep).

What are the opening times of the wellness and spa area?

Our wellness & spa area for treatments is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

How can I book spa appointments?

We recommend announcing your desired wellness treatments with possible dates and times already before arrival. Please write us an e-mail to spa@sporthotel-achensee.com. To arrange cosmetic or massage appointments on site, please come directly to our Wellness & Spa area, which is open daily from 9am to 6pm. What are the opening times of the fitness room?

Our fitness toom is open daily from 8am to 8pm. You can get the key at the reception.

How is the fitness toom equipped?

In our fitness room you will find a selection of cardio-strength machines such as treadmill, rowing machine, spinning bike as well as various machines for muscle building of arms, legs, back, abdomen and more.

How far is the hotel from Lake Achensee?

The hotel is located about 2km from Lake Achensee and can be easily reached on foot, by bike, bus or car (paid parking).

What excursions are there in summer?

In summer, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, walking, golfing, climbing and much more. Of course, there is no shortage of opportunities to try out or perfect water sports. Our tourist office also offers guided hikes with different levels of difficulty. In addition, there are all kinds of excursion destinations for the whole family that characterize the area, e.g. the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, the planetarium and the silver mine in Schwaz, the Tirol Land in Vomp, the rock oil distillery in Pertisau and much more.

What excursions are there in winter?

In winter, there is a lot to experience here at Lake Achensee and everything is in the immediate vicinity: skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, ice skating, snowkiting, snow tubing, ski touring and much more. A special highlight in the run-up to Christmas are the Christmas markets, which are a real experience due to the very tasty cuisine.

From the hotel there are numerous opportunities for hiking. Please note that not all cabins in the area are serviced. You can get more detailed information about this directly at the reception.

The valley station of the Christlum ski area is located right next to the family paradise Sporthotel Achensee. Only about 50m separate you from the perfect skiing pleasure.

Is there a toboggan run nearby?

Yes, the Christlum has a toboggan run with a length of about 3 kilometers.

Is there ice skating nearby?

There are two ice skating rinks nearby. In Achenkirch and in Maurach. More detailed information can be found here.

Which golf courses are nearby?

There are two unique golf courses in the Achensee region. Please contact our reception team. We are happy to help you book a tee time.

What advantages do I have with the AchenseeCard and what is the difference to the Achensee ErlebnisCard?

The AchenseeCard is the region’s free guest card. With this you can enjoy many advantages, such as the free bus of the region, numerous discounts for attractions and excursions. The ErlebnisCard requires the AchenseeCard and is also subject to a fee, but offers more benefits and savings. The validity is limited to 7 days. Is it possible to rent bicycles?

Yes, city bikes, children’s bikes, bike trailers and helmets can be rented free of charge in the sports shop. For a fee, it is also possible to rent a golf cart, e-go-karts, Vespa, via ferrata set and hiking poles.

Is it possible to rent e-bikes or mountain bikes?

Yes, e-bikes and mountain bikes can be rented directly in our sports shop for a fee and subject to availability.

Is it possible to rent bike trailers for children?

Yes, bike trailers for children can be rented free of charge and subject to availability in the sports shop.

Is it possible to bring my own bike?

Yes, you can of course bring your own bike and store it in our bicycle parking area. Please note that you are responsible for the security (bike lock).

Is it possible to rent hiking poles or Nordic walking poles?

Yes, you are welcome to rent hiking and Nordic walking poles for a fee in the sports shop.

Can strollers/buggies be rented?

Yes, strollers can be rented free of charge at the hotel, subject to availability.

Can back carriers be borrowed?

Yes, back carriers for children can be rented free of charge in the sports shop.

Is it possible to borrow a via ferrata set?

Yes, in our sports shop we offer you via ferrata sets for hire.

Is ski rental included for hotel guests and where can I rent the ski equipment?

The ski rental is located directly in the hotel’s own sports shop, the rental fee is not included in the hotel price. You can rent skis, poles, ski boots, snowboards, boots, cross-country skiing and ski touring equipment.

Where can we store our skis and ski boots?

We will provide you with a free drying cabinet during your stay. This offers space to store skis, poles, boots, helmets and gloves. The locker is heated overnight, so you can hit the slopes in the morning with perfect equipment.

Is it possible to rent ski suits, gloves and helmets at the ski rental?

For our hotel guests, we provide helmets for a rental fee. Ski clothing, gloves, etc. are not available for hire, but can be purchased in the sports shop.

Where can I rent toboggans?

Toboggans can be borrowed free of charge in our sports shop. Please note that toboggans for weekly night tobogganing are only available for a fee.

Do you also have cross-country skiing equipment to rent?

Yes, in our ski rental you can rent cross-country skis, boots and poles for a fee.

Is it possible to rent snowshoes?

Yes, snowshoes can be rented at our ski rental.

Is it possible to rent golf equipment?

We do not offer golf equipment for hire. Please contact the golf club in Achenkirch at +43 5246 6604 or golf@posthotel.at.

Is it possible to rent a golf cart for golf?

Yes, our hotel’s own golf cart can of course be reserved for your tee time for a fee. To do so, please contact our sports shop team at +43 5646 6747 or in person directly on site. Our team is available daily from 9am to 6pm.

Do you have Vespas for rent?

Yes, as a hotel guest you are welcome to rent our Vespas in the sports shop for a fee.

What happens if something borrowed is damaged or lost? Is it possible to take out insurance?

All our rental prices include a 10% nominal fee (only replacement service in case of breakage). In the event of theft or loss, a deductible of the current material value will be charged.

We travel with a baby, what is available for us?

We provide you with baby monitors, baby care packages (wet wipes, baby shampoo and baby powder), changing mats, baby chairs or rockers during meals, strollers and back carriers subject to availability, laundry service for a fee and a 24-hour medical service.

Can babies be registered for childcare?

Yes, of course you can also register your little ones for baby care, which takes place daily from 9am to 9pm. Please enter your baby in the lists on the workbench.

Are diapers and wipes available for babies and toddlers?

A baby care package is available in your room. Please note that diapers are only included as part of the baby’s care.

Can babies take part in swimming lessons?

Yes, of course we also offer a baby swimming course. This always takes place from Monday to Friday, duration 30 minutes. Please note that one parent per baby must be in the pool for the baby swimming course. In addition, there is a minimum number of participants for the course of 3 babies.

Is there a babysitting service?

Yes, we are happy to arrange a private babysitting service at your desired times for a fee.

When is childcare?

We offer childcare 7 days a week (approx. 80 hours per week) and are there daily from 9am to 9pm for your kids in the children’s club. You will receive the exact offer for childcare upon arrival. The respective registration lists are available at our workbench. We ask you to register your kids in time for the various program items so that we can plan better within the team.

Where can I register my child for the children’s program?

In the hotel you will find our workbench, where lists for each program item from the weekly program for children and adults are available. To register, please enter your name, room number and age (in the case of children’s programmes). You will receive an overview of the weekly program for children upon arrival. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our children’s club team or reception team.

At what times can I bring my child to the children’s club?

On 700 m² we offer a true indoor paradise to let off steam, discover and play. Childcare hours are daily from 9am to 9pm, outside of these hours the children’s club is closed. In addition, we have a 2,000m² outdoor playground where program items also take place daily – depending on the weather.

Is there childcare in the children’s club during lunch/dinner?

Yes, our children’s clubs are open from 9am to 9pm.

Is there a minimum age for the kids’ club?

No, we also take care of the youngest babies. Your child does not have to meet a minimum age for the children’s club. We offer a specially tailored program for different age groups and separate areas (mini, kids and teen area) in the children’s club.

Do you offer swimming lessons or private swimming lessons?

Yes, we offer baby and children’s swimming lessons (Monday to Friday) at the hotel for a fee. Especially in summer, these are very well attended, so we recommend making a reservation before arrival. Alternatively, registration can also take place on site. A private swimming course is only possible after consultation and subject to availability. Are children under the age of 6 allowed to take part in trial riding, trial golf or football camp?

Trial riding, trial golf and football camp are only possible for children from the age of 6, we ask for your understanding.

How to register for the football camp?

The registration lists for the football camp are available at the workbench. Here we ask you to register your kids in good time. The football camp takes place on Thursday and Friday, exclusively during the holiday season, from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm, and is only for children from 6 years old.

How far away is the soccer field where the soccer camp is taking place?

The football field is about 2km from the hotel (Sankt Anna Straße 423a, 6215 Achenkirch). The children will be brought and picked up by our hotel shuttle for the football camp. Of course, you can watch the football camp.

How do I register for the taster golf?

The registration lists for the taster golf are available at the workbench. Here we ask you to register your kids in good time. The taster golf course takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, exclusively during the holiday season, from 9am to 11am, and is only for children aged 6 and over.

How far away is the golf course where the taster golf takes place?

The golf course is about 2km from the hotel (Achenkirch 389, 6215 Achenkirch). The children will be brought and picked up by our hotel shuttle for the taster golf. Of course, you can watch the taster golf.

What happens in the event of an emergency, how are parents notified?

For each child, you have to fill out a “children’s passport” at the beginning, in which your contact details, allergies, illnesses and other important information are recorded. In the event of an emergency, you as parents will of course be contacted immediately via the telephone number provided.

How are children’s allergies/illnesses dealt with, are they taken into account?

Yes, your information will of course be taken into account. If you have any special requests, please let us know when you make your reservation so that we can provide you with information about our options.

Is it a problem if a child is still wearing a diaper?

In the context of indoor childcare, it is of course no problem if your child wears a diaper.

When and where does the children’s ski course take place?

The children’s ski course takes place Sunday to Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am and from 1pm to 3pm. For an optimal lesson result, we recommend starting on Sunday or Monday. Beginner courses take place on our practice meadow directly at the Seealm, advanced courses in the adjacent Christlum ski area.

What is ski guiding?

Ski guiding for adults is to be understood differently depending on your ability. We offer four different groups, from beginner to professional courses. For beginners, ski guiding is to be understood as a ski course. For experienced skiers, it’s guided skiing with a ski guide, to get to know the ski area to explore off-piste runs.

When does the ski guiding take place?

The ski guiding takes place Monday to Friday 2 hours in the morning from 9.30am to 11.30am or 2 hours in the afternoon from 1pm to 3pm.
In order to divide the course participants into smaller groups and to be able to offer the same conditions to every skier, there is an alternating rhythm here. So, for example, if you start on Monday morning, you will have your next course on Tuesday afternoon, then again on Wednesday morning, and so on.

When do children need a ski pass?

No ski pass is necessary for absolute beginners. The beginner courses take place on our practice meadow directly behind the Seealm. As soon as the skill level has progressed to the point where it is possible to ski in the ski area for the first time, children from the age of 6 need a ski pass. Children up to and including 5 years of age do not need a lift ticket. Ski passes can be purchased directly at the Christlum valley station.

From how many years can the ski course for children be booked?

The ski course can be booked for children from the age of 3. For stays of 7 nights or more and arrival on Saturdays, the ski course for children from 3 years of age is included as standard, but of course your time out can also be booked without a ski school.

Are snowboard lessons offered?

As part of the booked children’s ski course, we offer the possibility to convert the alpine ski course (2x 2 hours from Sunday to Friday) into a snowboard course (1x 2 hours from Sunday to Friday). Are cross-country skiing courses offered?

As part of the included ski guiding, we offer a cross-country skiing course for 2 hours a day from Tuesday to Friday. Of course, you have the possibility to book private lessons. Please contact the ski school at info@skischule-achensee.com.

Is there a (children’s) ski race?

Our popular international children’s and adult ski races take place weekly, for adults on Thursday, for children on Friday (subject to change).

How big is the ski resort?

The Christlum ski area has about 30 kilometres of slopes with different levels of difficulty (blue, red and black slopes). You can find the exact trail map here.

Where can riding appointments be arranged?

To book pony excursions, riding lessons, rides or carriage rides, please contact our riding stable team at +43 664 598 16 99, available daily between 8am and 5pm.

From how many years are children allowed to go on a pony ride?

For the pony trip, it is recommended that your child is at least 2 years old. The point here is that it can already sit well and has a good balance.

From how many years are children allowed to take part in riding lessons?

We make it possible for the little riding enthusiasts to lead ponies, provided they can already sit independently. We offer lunge lessons for children from the age of 8 to protect the back, especially the spine, of the children.

Can private lessons be booked?

Of course, private riding lessons or horseback rides can also be booked. As well as lunge lessons, riding lessons with pole work (exclusively for advanced riders) and carriage rides. Is it necessary to book a carriage ride in advance?

It is recommended to make your appointment as early as possible. Of course, depending on availability, it is possible at short notice, but cannot be guaranteed. You can reach us by phone at +43 664 598 16 99, daily from 8am and 5pm.

How many people can ride on the carriage?

Our carriage can accommodate a maximum of 5 adults, children can be taken on the lap if necessary.

Is it possible to rent riding equipment?

Helmets and back protectors can be borrowed free of charge directly from the riding stable for the duration of the riding lessons. Clothing and other equipment can be purchased from us in the attic shop.

How do I register for the trial ride?

The registration lists for the trial rides are available at the workbench. Here we ask you to register your children in good time. The trial riding takes place on Sunday and Monday, exclusively during the holiday season, from 9:20am to 11:20am and is only for children from 6 years of age.

Where is the meeting point for the trial ride?

The registration lists for the trial rides are available at the workbench. The meeting point for this is directly at the Almstall (next to the children’s playground behind the Seealm). This inclusive service takes place exclusively during the holiday periods Sunday and Monday from 9:20am to 11:20pm and is only for children from 6 years of age. Please note that this is not a riding lesson in this sense, but a first acquaintance with the horse.

How far in advance can a riding lesson be cancelled free of charge?

We do not charge for cancellations 24 hours before the start of the appointment, later cancellations will be charged with 90%.

Is there a maximum person weight for riding?

Our Haflinger horses can carry a maximum weight of 70-80 kg, the prerequisite for the maximum weight is already existing riding experience. Our Icelanders can carry a maximum of 30 kg. We ask for your understanding that only people who are below this maximum weight can take part in a riding lesson, so that our horses are protected.

Can non-hotel guests take riding lessons?

Yes, depending on availability, external guests can also take riding lessons. Appointments are required at +43 664 598 16 99. The team is available daily at 8am and 5pm.
